We pride ourselves on our majestic accommodations and privacy that we provide our guests, both equine and human. Six Winters Farm is 330 lush, green acres of private, off-the-grid farmland in the heart of Kentucky’s elite Bluegrass and Horse Capital of the World. Its ideal placement in the country makes it one of the most convenient and concentric locations —75 miles from the Cincinnati International Airport, 13 miles from the Lexington Airport, 6 miles from US highways 75 and 64, the main north-south, east-west arteries, and just 6 miles to the Kentucky Horse Park.
Upon arrival, new clients are greeted and given a complete tour to personally introduce them to the unique features of Six Winters Farm.
Our magnificent brick and mortar barns are not only aesthetically beautiful but constructed of the finest durable materials with health and safety in mind. Each barn has concrete block interior and exterior, sturdy metal stall fronts, LED lighting, and wide aisles to easily accommodate tack trunks and provide work space. Situated to capture the summer breezes, the barns have plenty of air circulation even in the warmest months.
Each individual stall measures approximately 13’ X 13’ with an automatic waterer, nearby electrical plugs, LED lighting, and is designed for excellent ventilation. Interlocking rubber stall mats covering over 18 inches of stall mix guarantee proper drainage, provide an easy to clean surface with traction, and help decrease laminitis, tendon and foot strain.
Stall rental includes turnout areas, muck and trash removal from barn daily, utilities, and property maintenance. Hay is grown on site to offer a consistent diet and is available for sale with delivery to your stalls according to your time frame. If you have specific needs as a part of your professional protocol, please discuss those with Amy so that we can be an integral part of your successful business plan. Our goal is to allow you to spend less time on administrative duties and maintenance, and more time riding, training, competing and enjoying your time in Kentucky.
All indoor living and office areas have tile and hardwood flooring throughout and include WiFi, Direct TV, washer and dryer, and beautiful kitchen areas complete with granite countertops, and all major appliances. Additionally, there are 4 on-site RV hook-ups with electricity, water and sewer connections available.
